Damon Dash: The Moment of Truth

It looks like former CEO and co-founder of the once esteemed Roc-A-Fella Records is facing some challenges as he's attacked with one lawsuit after another (read about it here). Everything from his condos in Tribeca to his Chevrolet Tahoe are being sought after...it's so bad that even his lawyer dropped him for not paying his legal bills!

Despite those troubles, I hope Dash pulls through. I was never the type to take joy in anyone's downfall, no matter the situation. There were definitely some mistakes he made throughout his career as a mogul, but one thing Jesse always pounded in my head was to learn from my mistakes and never have it happen twice.

For Dash, his best option might be to stick to what he started with: music. He's made the right move by staying close with Jim Jones (king of adlibs - "stay sky high *TWISTED* fly with the stars *TWINKLE TWINKLE*") as his new album apparently got that fire (so I hear from Chuck Inglish). The lead single, "Pop Champagne," is already a dF favorite and apparently all of NYC's as well.

Other than that, maybe he should just drive like a madman around the city in a Wrangler bumpin' classic Roc-A-Fella joints in hopes of getting some Youtube love. Or start a reality show. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised by a comeback. Here's to the roc!
