we are the champions!
dF won the inaugural bpm3 battle at the viper room last night... technically we beat dimmak by a very small margin (on one of those crowd scream - o - meters) but they called it a joint win?? some boos and no one knows exactly what that means but we're still #1.
8 teams participated and our boys flakez and ian took stage (with a couple of australian girls starting in the second round).... pictures and video will be posted soon.
dF rocked LA lastnight! big ups to bpm and zune as well as all the other contestants...

“I’m not telling you what to do, I’m just telling you what I’m gonna do, I’m voting for Barack Obama,” Jay said. “Martin walked so Obama could run. Obama is running so we all could fly.”

bill simmons compares the NBA to joan on mad men...
one of our favorite writers (not as funny on radio/podcast though i might add) makes his bold predictions re: the nba this season while comparing the league to women in hollywood (and paying homage to the character joan on everyone's favorite tv show - mad men).
i generally agree with his article (including lebron james for mvp michael beasley for rookie of the year) but it's pretty long so only click if you have time...
Posted by jesse at 4:12 PM
lebron james...
the cavs lost a close game to the defending champs (celtics) BUT lebron had a couple of insane finishes, especially the first allyoop where his chin's above the rim... peep the highlight.

not ideal for vegetarians but if you eat meat, sliced pork is never as good as the ones they serve at these noodle houses... bomb.

the neptunes and clipse back in the kitchen??
finally.... our folks over here at dF constantly talked about how the clipse need/should get back to work with the neptunes (not storch) and do what they do best; make fire together. like the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
hopefully they're reading this and lace us with a preview one of these days. hit us up pusha!

By far this is one of the most innovative designs for smokers.....
Another classic design from Tobias Wong. The Smokers Mitten are designed with a metal eyelet to perfectly fit your cigarette. Helps you keep your hands warm when you are smoking outside. And let's face it, you are going to be smoking outside a lot considering all the new non-smoking laws.

interesting article on fortune profiling several "all-american" families who are suffering the most from being taxed as "rich." think families of small business owners, lawyers and doctors who aren't making millions (not yet anyway) but in the $250k-$500k range with kids and minivans. are they paying extra for working hard and being successful (relatively speaking)?

young jeezy isn't the only one... a conservative friend of mine too
my russian/jew homie dan (who used to watch the o'reilly factor religiously... enough said) wrote an insightful email/blog for us to share... he sent it a couple of weeks ago after we hung out in chicago and i had forgotten about it; but of course i remembered to find it in my inbox when i was watching foxnews (i'm a fair guy... i'll watch both keith olbermann and bill o'reilly these days).
i'm literally copying/pasting this from dan's email so if you don't like it, good luck finding him (he lives in indiana now).
I Want My President Black - by dan the russian jew aka jason statham wannabe
I am one of those people that the media always talks about, the undecided voter. I am also one of those people that can’t vote. No, I am not a felon, just Russian. I have been trained since birth to stay away from politics. When the Communists were in power in the former Soviet Union, I had to support them. When the drunks took over after them, I raised my glass of vodka to them. Today I support Vladimir Putin. Given the current state of America, Putin would be a great choice for president. He cleaned up Russia in less than 10 years and the Russian economy has been rising about 7% per year. Putin also only invades countries that he can actually defeat. Since I can’t put a PUTIN 08 bumper sticker on my car, I have to choose an American candidate to support.
Given my conservative roots (I like to shoot guns and not pay a lot of taxes) McCain seemed like an obvious choice. That is until he announced his VP pick, the mayorial milf turned hockey mom turned governor of Alaska. Then McCain started talking during the debates. I thought it was 80’s night, as McCain pronounced his love for Ronald Reagan, delivered his strong stand against Vladimir of Russia calling him K.G.B, and announced how we should help Afghanistan. McCain, at least in rhetoric, is 20-25 years behind in his thinking. He’s crazy not to think that the failed policies of the last eight years do not need a radical makeover. But that is still not the reason why I want a black president.
I recently relocated to Northwest Indiana for grad school. Diversity in this neck of the woods runs 60% hillbilly, 30% redneck, and 10% normal. I was working out at the local gym when I noticed a couple good ole boys with some body artwork. Both of these fellas had openly visible Nazi tattoos on display. It made me wonder what I would do in this particular situation if I was black. I began thinking about all the bull shit Barack Obama has had to deal with through the years. I also began to wonder how pissed off and miserable this despicable Nazi trash would feel if an educated black guy from the South Side of Chicago would be presiding over them. That is the instant moment I became a decided voter. I want a black president.

like miss info, i'm sick of the word swagger or anyone who uses it to describe something... in any case, it's still funny when jim jones keeps going at jay-z over just about anything (including fashion and 'jackin swag'). what's even funnier is that all of these rappers (and street wear dudes) are claiming dibs on who had on their louis vuitton and gucci scarves and other accessories first.

cam'ron on the o'reilly factor...
with the election talks and financial crisis taking up all of your cnn's, msnbc, cnbc and foxnews, i thought i'd bring back an oldie but a goodie. who could forget camron and dame dash going up against bill o'reilly and a retarded elementary school teacher (conversating is not a word, buddy).
btw, my favorite part is when cam goes to o'reilly 'you maaaad, you maaad, where did you start? current affairs?!" plus telling that he'll be part of a parent-teacher conference lol...
