why you gotta love rasheed wallace...

this guy's one of the most controversial players in the nba (most known for having more technical fouls/ejections than anyone in the history of the league). anyways, i just stumbled upon some more interesting facts re: rasheed wallace. did you know that he's the only player in the history of mcdonalds's all american games to be EJECTED?! LOL

some more funny facts we found...

Rasheed Wallace:

- During his time with the Blazers, Sheed would often practice in sweatpants and his Timberland boots.

- While teammate Jason Maxiell was conducting a courtside interview before a game this season, Sheed continuously pelted him with basketball. ( http://www.need4sheed.com/videos/target_practice.html )

- Once made Jerry Stackhouse late for an interview because he made him stop at a KFC.

- While at North Carolina, he threw his sneakers over the telephone wire outside the Dean Smith Center.

evangelist accuses obama of 'distoring' bible, dF says who cares

not that i really give a damn but since it's the #2 most read story and front page feature on cnn.com, click here to read what dobson says about obama's take on the bible. one of my favorite comments by dobson of obama also includes a statement that obama has "a fruitcake interpretation of the constitution" LOL

hey the kids these days don't even have time to read school books (with logic and scientific proof), let alone a made up fictional story some call the bible.

reason clothing...

one of our favorite brands and two of our favorite people in nyc are REASON and jon/phil. i've even managed to drop my gucci duffle (for light travels/macbook) and replace it with their ill ski backpack. you might've also seen me with their black ski waterproof jacket or the jungle strip crewneck.

the carter III sells over a million copies in its first week!

first time since 2005 (50 cent), an artist has sold over a million records in a week.... many wondered if/how lil wayne would monetize his string of freestyles and mixtape anthems but i guess it all paid off.

on a sidenote, n.e.r.d.'s seeing sounds debuted at #7 in the charts.

congrats to kg, paul pierce, ray allen, doc rivers (originally from chicago) and bill simmons

i'm happy for the players mentioned above (and the espn writer) and looked like the better team won. paul pierce outplayed kobe through out the series, ray allen hit all the shots he needed to and garnett showed up in enough games to help out on both ends. it was kind of disappointing that the last game of the series was such a blow out but i'm also happy for doc rivers (the coach)...

yesterday was definitely off the hinges... alot of asses and champagne going around all afternoon.
it got really crackin around 3 or 4 and the party stayed strong til the end so hope you didn't miss it.

all geniuses are a bit crazy. leonardo da vinci, michael jackson and of course, r. kelly. call him what you will but his song writing ability is untouchable and i'm definitely a fan of his music.

lakers blow a 20+ point lead.... kobe does nothing about it.

if you're a kobe fan, don't read the marc stein article BUT if you're a fair individual, read it.

lakers blew the biggest first quarter lead in the nba finals history... even had farmar's ridiculous shot at the half to carry extra momentum into the second half and STILL found a way to lose.

highlight of the game? jesus shuttlesworth aka ray allen taking spastic sasha to school like he's the kids daddy...

hightlight after the game? kobe talking about downing 20 shots (which i know he's never done in his life because he's pretty square) and trying to be funny but no one laughing (dude can't relate).

my favorite show on tv...

in between all the long flights to nyc or chicago, one thing i get to do is watching some tv (thank god for jetblue and now virgin too). and it was on one of those trips from nyc in the past year when i had discovered my favorite tv show; jon and kate plus 8.

if you're not familiar with it, watch the youtube below but it's basically about a family of 8 kids living their every day life in some suburb of pennsylvania. i could be tired or annoyed as hell but whenever i turn on this show (on the plane or at home), i'm all good...

i definitely recommend this for other busy folks. i HATE reality shows but this one's the sh*t!

lil wayne sells 423,000 copies in one day...

according to many sources including this, weezy's carter III sold a kanye west like #s in its first day of release. considering the fact that the album wasn't marketed kanye vs 50 cent style plus there's been about 8 albums worth of free music he's put out over the last couple of years, it's pretty impressive.

celtics over the lakers...

highlight of last night's game 1 of nba finals has to be the KG dunk on pau gasol (well if you like theatrical moments, you might prefer paul pierce's injury then coming back to knocking down 3's). this put back dunk by kevin garnett basically sealed the game for the celtics... kobe didn't really show up in the 4th quarter either.

nba finals.... lakers vs celtics

this is probably the least boring nba finals we've had since the lakers vs the pacers (jalen rose was ballin back then) a few years ago. check espn's little analysis on nba's best offense (la lakers) vs best defense (boston celtics)... this is a tough series to call and i won't really be rooting for either team so may the best squad win.
