lupe fiasco's the cool... certified gold

back in the day (before the late 90's), going gold (selling 500,000 units) meant something... then the industry/labels got a bit too fat with anyone/everyone going platinum, which also meant a lot of garbage music being released/played everywhere. well thanks to the internet, the sales went down and only the true artists (with talent) can sell records and make an impact now; which is a GREAT thing.

so congrats to lupe (another chitown dude) and atlantic records (good staff for sure)...
