killa kela stops by LA
one of my favorite people (not just artist) in the world came crashed at my guest bedroom for a couple of days. world's finest multi-vocalist (beatboxer is an overused term!) who just got off stage at the MTV euro awards came to hang for a bit while on tour with dj craze.
we'll post the video from his guest appearance at banana split (lax) very soon but some photos in the meantime...

burton store opening in LA
burton is definitely one of the rare brands that do it right. so while i hadn't planned on attending the store opening (on melrose), i made a stop and saw just about all the usual suspects and had a great time. can't beat mini burgers, hot dog stand, wahoos, drink stands and even a ben and jerry's (did i mention the ramps on the roof?!)
no photos but check out slamxhype for some flicks

floyd mayweather vs ricky hatton 24/7 on hbo
as some of you may know, i draw alot of inspiration from sports. having played a ton as a kid and growing up around it, i admire those that win (n those that put in the work most people can't even fathom of doing). with that said, one of my favorite shows on tv is hbo's 24/7 (they had the series prior to the de la hoya vs mayweather fight too).
now pretty boy floyd is about to get it on with ricky hatton (manchester, uk's finest). should be a classic... peep the previw.

dF with Cool Kids this past weekend
so Matt aka Flakez was holding it down in LA while I was in Chicago (footage from the INSANE party in chitown will be up soon, i promise). Cool Kids are on tour with M.I.A. so Matt had the all access for on stage, backstage, afterparty and all the other madness; includes shots from both LA and SD this weekend. Shout out to Nick/Diz at Diamond Supply Co for lacing up my homies!

bo ryan does the superman dance
if you're a college hoops fan, you know who bo ryan is (if not, he's the head coach for wisconsin's mens basketball team). i can't tell if this is good or bad (meaning, it's definitely funny but i can't decide if having this recorded is good or bad for him/wisconsin). either way, this is HILARIOUS.

jay-z on charlie rose
my close friends know i'm not the biggest jay-z fan (especially since he "came out of retirement") but he was on my dad's favorite tv host/show. charlie rose is great btw.... it's like two people in a blacked out room with nothing but that table and somehow conversations stay interesting through out. in this shortened clip, you hear jay talk about puffy's genius as a producer plus more.

dF in NYC episode 1
as some of you know, dF gets around quite a bit and NYC is definitely one of our favorite cities. from late night partying/dining to the expensive cab rides (or long ass walks), i tend to feel a bit more alive when i'm in the city. although i've been fortunate enough to visit new york numerous times (especially over the past couple of years), i've never had the luxury of someone videotaping all the madness that goes on. well this last trip was a different story as i was able to bring out matt flakez to the big apple for a week (during CMJ).
our footage includes parties, backstage antics, showcase footage, crazy people, pit stops at a pizza parlor (n dude didn't get pizza), late night partying, random banters, .... etc.
so we thought we'd share some of our expeditions; for various reasons (legality + blackmail possibilities), we can't share everything but hopefully we have enough stuff we can share. enjoy.
episode 1 is basically our first night in the city... matt just captured footage of me and the homies posted up outside of our apt in west village. the spot just so happened to be right across the street from beatrice inn aka where all the model chicks go (and they don't even have a DJ there you mofos).
shout out to scott, aface, and noah hahaha

why i love charles barkley (and so do t-mobile and nike)
good story about arguably the loudest mouth in sports (and that's cool). tnt's half time and post game shows are usually more entertaining than the game itself.
read the brandweek story on chuck!
