highlights from lollapalooza / chicago

so joey/i were in chicago from thursday - last night (tuesday) enjoying all the festivities surrounding lollapalooza. some details below but check out the comprehensive highlight reel first. (make sure you look for the girl who attempts to stagedive n fall flat on her face + the youngins up on stage booty dancing LOL)

THURSDAY
- we started the weekend off proper with a lolla pre-party at debonair. this is one of my fav. places to visit when i'm in chicago because of the people that run it... mark gertz, trancid n greg corner (of kill hannah) do their darkwavedisco weekly on thursdays + the owners (claudia, steve, vince n co) always treat me n my peeps very well. the clubs may kick you out at 2 am but if you're one of the VIP's, you get to stay in the basement n get crunk prohibition style.... let's just say that ed banger crew, daft punk, pete wentz, ashlee simpson, chuck inglish from cool kids, floss, myself and about 20 girls stuck around til those of us staying at the W hotel came back and partied some more til noon (i won't confirm or deny what time i went to bed but i def. didn't stay up til noon like some folks).

FRIDAY
- first day of lollapalooza... needless to say, i was hung over as hell so i didn't catch most of the bands during the day or evening but we still got some good footage of lcd and daftpunk. joey got a couple of good interviews as well and i met up with an old friend i hadn't seen in awhile... my girl allie that runs marketing over at hooters (yes, she started as a hooter girl so take that). we went over to catch the homie chuck inglish on the 1's and 2's at kanye west's official lolla party (@ underground). i was at underground a couple of months ago when they first opened n apparently it's the most "hollywood" club in chi. never seen so many people waitin in line tryin to get in... sorry folks, i cut right to the front :) we left alil after kanyeezy showed up (n yes people in the club were going crazy) and headed back to debonair then to the daft punk/ed banger party at green dolphin. dj funk closed the party in his chicago booty house steez. long night needless to say.

SATURDAY
- THE hightlight set of lollapalooza... my dudes dj craze and dj klever killed it from 6pm-8pm. stage diving anctics and 14 yr old girls from the burbs booty dancing on stage. peep the video and you'll see haha. the night time activitiy included another party with darkwave guys at sonotheque (the faint n blake miller threw down). after sono, we went to debonair again and drank til 7 am i think... it was pouring outside when i got back to the W. don't really remember what happened....

SUNDAY
- i didn't care much for pearl jam (the headliner) but we came by to show support for kid sister n flosstradamus. chitown represent!! all in all the festival was fun but the rain/humidity kinda made it annoying for me personally. steve aoki was in town for a session with blake miller at debonair (i know AGAIN). r kelly sighting (no joke). everyone partied (includking kells) in the basement til 6 am. i actually wasn't there believe it or not.....

MONDAY/TUESDAY
- a lot of catching up with some friends n clients. stopped by st alfred, caught up with badboybill (yes, you know him) and my sister. all in all it was recoup time.....
