last saturday was definitely a fun one... our friends lax and clyde singleton celebrated their bdays by poppin champagne bottles. paserock, rhettmatic, nicky savage, mando and kid lightning played the pool party tunes + a nutty group of street wear'd out tourists played pool party games.

it profiles a 27 year old couple in SF whose goal is to retire by the age of 40 as millionaires. besides the typical property investments and only eating out once a month + sharing entrees and wearing hand me down clothes to save money, the wife/chick says she feels awkward when she complains about splitting the checks with her family n friends at dinners when she only ordered an appetizer and tap water. WTF
i don't know how people live like that... the irony is that those who think they're saving and investing smartly are the first ones to lose all of it through what they consider to be "calculated risks" or "investments." if you're so smart, why not invest in your life, own career and better relationships with those around you?
no offense if the rodrigues couple reads my blog (doub it) but daaaamn, i would never recommend that lifestyle. sounds miserable as f*ck...

a couple days back, i (flakez) actually ran into the guy who co-wrote "forever" for chris brown at the studio. i gave him daps although in the back of my head i was thinking, "man, i can't believe you really said, 'double your pleasure, double your fun.'"

i first heard about this through miss info while having lunch with her last week (a ramen spot in east village, of course) but it's now official. cam has worked out a deal with juelz and def jam; still dipset for life but things are gonna be a little different i'm sure. juelz santana is one of my fav. rappers out there (cam, too) so i'm def. waiting for some new music from both dudes!

my fav. lunch (or late night) ramen spot in nyc
discovered it while i subleased a studio apt in east village last summer. the sliced pork w/ scallion + any of the ramen bowls are BOMB. cash-only (it's super cheap) and very small (maybe seat a dozen people max) but if you know what's good, it's good... 2nd ave & 10th st - peep the spot
